Tumblong Hills Chenin Blanc 2023

The fruit was handpicked and immediately transported to the winery where it was whole bunch pressed to tank and allowed to cold settle overnight. The clean juice was racked and then fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to retain freshness and enhance varietal character. A small portion was fermented in older French oak barriques to add texture and complexity. The wine blended, lightly fined, filtered and bottled under screw cap.

Vintage 2023 was a very wet growing season, which led to the latest harvest on record. Dry conditions during March and April allowed for fruit to mature and retain a great balance of ripeness and acidity.
